Andiswa Makanda
Andiswa Makanda is a MA student in Media Studies. For her BA(Hon) research project, she researched Pentecostal Charismatic churches and the discourses evident in the sermons and the ideological role these play. Besides the ideological work of discourses, her research interests include media democratization and development, media policy and regulation, and media institutions. She is also interested in politics and current affairs and very passionate about economic and human development. Andiswa is very concerned with the current economic and wealth disparaties faced by black and white people and Third World countries in general.
