Tokelo Nhlapo holds a BA in Political Studies and International Relations and a second year BA student in Media Studies. He enjoys good debates, likes reading and listening to the radio, especially SA FM and 5 FM in the morning. Tokelo comes from a family with a single mother with no formal education (his mother is a domestic worker). He is an active member of the South African Students’ Congress (SASCO) and the Wits University branch of the African National Congress-Youth League (ANCYL). He likes helping other students because he believes that some problems need leadership and political will in order to achieve the desired results. He is hoping to pursue a career in political journalism and would like to enrol for a BA(Hons) in Journalism next year. His long-term goal is to become a political or education expert (only time and resources will tell!) in order to make South African education – and society in general – equal in the true sense of the word. Tokelo is a proud South African and just loves his country.
